![]() So It doesn't help your case does it? The entire thing is a lesson the ban-XVM crowd oughta be learning. So how does this help your argument for XVM? Just because some people misuse it doesn't mean it gets banned altogether. ![]() The knife still isn't banned, you're just expected to be reasonable with it's use. You can't walk around town with a knife because there's no other reason for it than violent intent. People that don't know about it or don't want to use it have no chance of doing as well as players with it. And again the unfair advantage you get by using it is pretty huge. A few bad apples can't handle things like XVM and it's for the better that the addon is not used by anyone. Where I come from you can't walk around with a knife in town either, and with good reasons. Better teamwork is possible, if teamwork is the goal. Rather than abandoning the potatoes, unicums could offer to take charge, and the potatoes will know who to listen to in order to survive. I may be naive but it's possible this could be good for unicums and potatoes alike. That will determine if it is a good or bad gaming community. The thing is, it's not the data that should be threatening, it's how the community handles the data. I can sort of see both sides, except for the handful of trolls that both sides should just ignore (if possible). I've read through a lot of the (bleep) storm regarding this XVM thing. Being completely new to WG I've never played WoT, and not because these forums make WoT sound terrible (you do), but because I've been there (M60), and I already know how bad I am at it. I'm also a potato, but I'm putting down roots, and look forward to leafing out into the green someday (.someday.). ![]() I'm a new player - really new to this on-line stuff. ![]()
